Military Coup

There’s been a military coup.

“Never in [our] history have the people been so divided,” [Lieutenant-General] Prapart said.

“The majority of people had become suspicious of this administration, which is running the country through rampant corruption,” he added.

“Independent bodies have been interfered with so much they could not perform in line within the spirit of the constitution.”

Oh, I should add it’s in Thailand :-)

I just finished pointing out a similar lesson in the riots in Budapest.

When the High Court rules against Labour and Clark will they stand down?… I don’t think so.

The cops or Military may have to go into the beehive and clean them out if the governor-general hasn’t got the stomach for it.

What a mess. Why can’t Clark just stand resign like any other Honourable man caught in her position?

Yeah sorry but the military is actually HOW the GG backs up what he does.

This is also why Helen Clark is NOT the CIC of the armed forces.

Hope they have enough petrol for the job. I might have to drop down to Trentham with my emergency can.

I think Lewis Holden wrote a couple of posts refuting the above, Murray…

The last resort IMO is the large number of civilian gun owners in New Zealand, who might have to defend themselves if things go pear-shaped. I don’t think anyone could impose full dictatorship seeing as there are a million privately owned guns in the country - although violent action is of course only necessary when you can no longer speak out in favour of freedom.
