Prime Minister in a Spin
The Prime Minister must be getting dizzy. She was on breakfast TV this morning (hat tip: Not PC) and then on Paul Holmes, in reply to my interview. (Julian has audio of my interview, as does Newstalk ZB.)
Helen Clark is pretty upset that anyone has the nerve to stand up to her and wants to know “how little right wing outfits like the Libertarianz have got the money to hire QCs.”
Of course, the question is not how we have the money to hire QCs (thanks again to all the donors, by the way). The question is how the Prime Minister got the money to pay for her pledge cards. Our money has been given freely. Hers was stolen from the public purse.

Nail them on that point and get every other politician and media outfit quoting it verbatim! That will eliminate the distracting argument and turn the onus back on the Prime Minister!

My god, Helen really is up against the wall. Does she honestly think these delusional allegations are going to convince anyone? And even if National is funding the Libz - which is incredibly unlikely - then so what? Freedom of association is legal in this country; there is nothing wrong with supporting a worthy cause.
Of course, there are some things that are *not* legal - gross misappropriation of election funds, for instance. Helen is right to be worried, because she knows the court case cannot possibly go in her favour.
It might be time to say, “Helen, we’ll stop telling the truth about you just as soon as you stop telling lies about us.”

Whoops, that should read “gross misappropriation of funds for election purposes.”
The increasingly absurd allegations from Helen Clark demonstrates just how frightened she is. I wonder if she’ll eventually melt down like McCarthy in ‘54.

I find it incredable that Aunti Helen has the cheek to suggest that only rich people can hire a QC. Mind you, how is she going to pay her defence legal team? I wonder if…………no, she would’nt would she?
