‘Basher’ Hodgson Has a Go
Labour “strategist” (I’ll create the diversion, you start the getaway car) Pete Hodgson has had a crack at Libertarianz this morning in the wake of the Prime Minister’s comments about the funding of this case. His “strategy” seems to be to muddy the waters and try and slag off Libz in the same breath as banging on about National and the Exclusive Brethren.
Hodgson’s release: National Needs to Come Clean on Brethren.
My response is here:
Libertarianz: Libertarianz Asks Nicely, Labour Steals.
I should really thank Helen and ‘Basher’ for this one. After a big flood of donations in June and July, when this was kicked off, things were down to a trickle. I’ve just been told that there’s been a noticeable increase in people using the Pay Pal button today. Welcome to the conspiracy folks. Your secret handshake is in the post.

Bernard, Fantastic work. The more spin and lies I hear, the more I know that your case has the bastards worried. Our Dear Leader will shortly learn that political spin (and lies) is not appreciated by judges. Bravo

The High court judges will not take kindly to this “trial by media” pre-emption of the trial.
Unlike the motor-cade, painter-gate, Taito Field, David Carter and Benson-Pope scandals where the boiler-plate “can’t comment on something that is before the courts”.
Helen Clark, Peter Hodgson and Trevor Mallard had better be very, very careful or defamation and slander maybe added to her mounting bill.

When Dick Hubbard got shirty about the Boobs on Bikes parade he mouhted off to the media and guaranteed much more attention and a much higher attendance. Surely Helen and Basher Hodgson must realaise that everytime they mouth off about you it just puts this case at the front of the media and makes people look a bit closer. I’m sure that if you measured hits on this site you would notice a surge after Helen and Pete’s comments. So good on them and let them whinge whine and complain. It will just make more people seek the facts and come away with an even greater awareness of Labour’s misdeeds.

Are you going to send Hullen and Basher a gift basket and thank-you note for the attention and extra funds they’ve helped raise?
